Touch Sensor

A touch sensor is a touch switch module based on the principle of capacitive sensing. When a human or metal touches the gold-plated contact surface of the sensor, it is detected. In addition to direct touch on the metal surface, contact through a certain thickness of materials such as plastic or glass can also be detected. The sensitivity of the sensor varies with the size of the contact surface and the thickness of the covering material. The module has two output modes, which can be switched by changing the solder jumper. On the module, there is a short circuit point used to change the mode. By soldering the upper two short circuit points, the module's mode switches to switch mode, which can be used to make a touch-controlled lamp that is not too complex. By soldering the lower two short circuit points, the module's mode switches to button mode, which can be used to replace physical buttons.

Note:

• The module should be kept at a certain height from the fixed surface to avoid signal errors due to contact.
• Do not hold the touch sensor directly, as it may cause the back capacitor to heat up, leading to burns.
