HLK-LD2413 24G Water Level Detection Sensor Radar Module Liquid Detection Non-Contact Sensor Switch

HLK-LD2413 24G Water Level Detection Sensor Radar Module Liquid Detection Non-Contact Sensor Switch

The HLK-LD2413 is a compact, high-precision 24GHz radar-based water level and material level detection sensor developed by Hi-Link. It combines an advanced millimeter wave radar module with intelligent firmware to provide reliable, contactless measurement in real time.

This HLK-LD2413 24G water level detection sensor features a powerful AIoT-enabled radar SoC, a high-performance microstrip antenna (1T1R), and integrated signal processing firmware using FMCW waveform for accurate level detection.

With a measurement range of 0.15 to 10 meters and ±3mm accuracy, it performs consistently in demanding environments, including dusty, pressurized, or sealed containers—making it a top choice for industrial automation, smart city, and home appliance applications.

FAQ

1. Can the HLK-LD2413 measure solids like grain or powder?
Yes, as a material level sensor, it is highly effective at measuring the surface of solids, provided they have reflective properties for radar waves.

2. Is the sensor affected by steam or foam?
Radar waves are much more resilient to steam and dust than ultrasonic sensors. However, heavy surface foam may absorb some signal; we recommend testing for specific foam densities.

3. How do I configure the detection range?
The sensor comes with a visual configuration tool. By connecting the module to a PC via a USB-to-TTL adapter, you can set the minimum and maximum detection distances.

4. Does the sensor need to touch the liquid?
No, the HLK-LD2413 is a contactless sensor. It should be mounted above the material to be measured to ensure longevity and prevent corrosion.

5. What is the minimum blind zone of this sensor?
The sensor has a very small blind zone of only 0.15 meters, allowing for measurements in shallow tanks.

6. Can I use multiple sensors in the same area?
Yes, but ensure the 24GHz beams do not directly face each other to avoid signal interference. Metal shielding can also be used to isolate sensors.

Precautions

  • Ensure the sensor's antenna is directly facing the detection area, and the surrounding space is open and unobstructed.
  • The installation position must be secure and stable; movement or vibration will significantly affect measurement accuracy.
  • Since radar waves can penetrate objects, avoid moving parts behind the sensor. Use a metal shield to block the rear lobe if necessary.
  • Power input must be within 3.0V~3.6V. Ensure low power ripple to maintain high-precision ±3mm accuracy.
