The line tracking sensor developed by our company is designed specifically for line-following robots. It eliminates the need to adjust a potentiometer, making the line-following car simpler and more stable. The line tracking sensor is essentially an infrared transceiver device, consisting of a pair of infrared emitting and receiving tubes. The emitting tube emits infrared rays at a certain frequency. When these rays encounter a reflective surface in the detection direction, they are reflected back and received by the receiving tube. After being processed by an inverter (Schmitt trigger) circuit, the blue indicator light will turn on, and the signal output interface will output a digital signal (a low-level signal).

The infrared emission and reception heads of the line tracking sensor are significantly affected by ambient light. Generally, the closer they are to the reflective surface, the better the effect. The operating voltage is 3.3 to 5V, and the detection response distance is 1 to 20mm.
