Espressif is dedicated to the research and development of green technology. Espressif creates AIoT solutions that help reduce energy consumption and material waste. With Espressif's low-power and highly integrated chipsets, Espressif minimizes the use of such extra components as resistors, capacitors, inductors, switches, baluns and power management chips, as well as the waste of printed circuit boards.
Espressif is known for its keen sense of corporate social responsibility, having long supported green / low-power technologies and having based its entire business model on open-source software and the democratization of technology. At present, Espressif is deeply concerned about climate change, which has been the result of human actions in recent decades. In an effort to raise public awareness of this crisis, Espressif launched a wildlife protection program in 2020, which draws on the environmental insight brought about by The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™. Ever since, Espressif has been donating the quarterly proceeds from development boards included in this wildlife protection program to the IUCN.
