FAQ

What is the GD32C231C-EVAL used for?

It is an evaluation board for the GD32C231 MCU series, suitable for industrial control, IoT, consumer electronics, and motor drive applications.

What debugger is included?

An onboard GD-Link debugger with SWD interface is integrated — no external debugger required.

Which development tools are compatible?

Keil MDK, IAR EWARM, SEGGER Embedded Studio, GD32 Embedded Builder, GCC toolchains, and FreeRTOS.

What is the difference between GD32C231 and other GD32 series?

The GD32C231 is an entry-level ARM Cortex-M23 series, optimized for low power and cost-sensitive applications with rich analog peripherals, compared to the higher-end Cortex-M4/M33 series.

Can it be used for commercial development?

Yes. Firmware developed on the board can be directly migrated to GD32C231-based commercial products.

What is the operating voltage range?

2.3 V to 5.5 V, supporting both 3.3 V and 5 V systems without external level shifters.

Does it support RTOS?

Yes. FreeRTOS and other RTOS are supported with official SDK examples.

Where can I find documentation?

Datasheets, user manuals, and application notes are available on the GD32C231 product page and GD32 MCU portal.
