The RollerCAN Unit is a brushless DC motor motion control kit with multiple integrated control functions, designed for efficient motion control. The device is compatible with both 6-16V DC power input (via the XT30 interface) and 5V input (via the Grove interface), and is equipped with an automatic power factor adjustment feature to ensure optimal performance. The product features a built-in FOC closed-loop drive system that utilizes a 3504 200KV brushless motor. The maximum continuous operating phase current is 0.5A without forced cooling, and 1A for short-term operation. The driver employs a magnetic encoder for feedback and offers triple-loop control of current, speed, and position, thereby ensuring precise control. The unit's shaft can be fitted with a slip ring, if required, to enable the Grove interface at the top to remain connected with the bottom, thus supporting 360° rotation while allowing additional modules to be added at the top. This guarantees power and data transmission through the rotating component.
Furthermore, the unit is furnished with a 0.66-inch OLED display on the reverse side, which can display the device status in real time. Furthermore, the unit includes an RGB indicator and function button, facilitating straightforward human-machine interaction. The top and base are designed with LEGO-compatible mounting holes and M3 screw holes, allowing for straightforward assembly and integration. The hardware and software of the RollerCAN Unit are fully open-source, supporting motion control and parameter adjustment via buses. Additionally, it provides SWD and SWO debugging interfaces, offering developers greater flexibility. This product is suitable for use in machine joints, motion control, industrial automation, and visual demonstration projects.
