OpenELAB at Nuremberg Hack & Make 2025 — Embrace the Maker Spirits

🌍 A Weekend of Innovation at Hack & Make Nuremberg 2025

For the first time ever, OpenELAB joined Hack & Make — Nuremberg’s iconic maker festival organized by FabLab Nuremberg. Hosted at Hall 3C of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, this vibrant event gathered hundreds of inventors, educators, and tech enthusiasts in one creative space.
The atmosphere was electric, with numerous fairs and exhibitions taking place simultaneously at the Messe, turning the weekend into a true celebration of innovation.

🔧 OpenELAB’s Booth: Where Makers Meet Inspiration

This year, OpenELAB transformed its booth into a walk‑in demo space — a hands‑on journey through robotics, open‑source electronics, and maker creativity. Visitors explored, learned, and even shopped for products directly from the booth, blending the joy of discovery with real‑time learning.

🎁 Educational Kits for Every Maker

We kicked things off with Keyestudio learning kits, one of our most popular ranges this season. These kits make learning Arduino programming incredibly accessible thanks to block‑based coding — perfect for beginners and young learners.
For more experienced makers, we displayed advanced DIY projects like robot cars, robot arms, smart farming systems, and even smart irrigation kits to promote hands‑on learning in automation and IoT.

🤖 The AIoT Corner: Top Open‑Source Brands on Display

OpenELAB’s showcase wall featured globally trusted open‑source brands: SeeedStudio, DFRobot, LILYGO, and M5Stack. Visitors loved that some of our bestsellers were available for direct purchase — ready to take home, plug in, and start developing immediately.
We also demonstrated Genmitsu's CNC machine —a CNC router that is affordable, user-friendly, and designed to inspire creatives of all levels.

🦾 Robotics in Action

The myCobot 280 M5 from Elephant Robotics caught everyone’s attention as it performed smooth, free‑motion demonstrations. The compact robot invited makers to imagine their own robotics projects in automation, research, and education.
We also presented Seeed’s SO‑ARM101 kit, offering real‑time movement simulations. The interactive “catch the toy” challenge quickly became a crowd favorite — fun for all ages and a great way to experience robotics up close.

👁️ Smarter Vision with ORBBEC Gemini2

Another star of the booth was the ORBBEC Gemini2 Camera, known for its high performance in 3D room scanning and object detection. Visitors learned how the system can be integrated into AI‑driven automation or interactive projects, bridging the worlds of robotics and computer vision.

💡 Event Must‑Haves & Maker Favorites

Of course, we didn’t forget our crowd‑pleasing “fun tech” corner: LED name tags, programmable collars, Electronic Sandglasses, and 3D holographic fans of various sizes. Controlled entirely through a smartphone app, these gadgets demonstrated how creativity and coding can come together effortlessly.

🤝 Community Spirit & Collaboration

Throughout the weekend, our booth welcomed a steady stream of visitors—makers, educators, hobbyists, and families alike. Many were thrilled to finally see products in person that they had previously discovered online.
The experience strengthened OpenELAB’s relationship with the European maker community and reinforced our mission to make AIoT and open‑source electronics accessible to all.

🎉 Gratitude & Highlights

We extend heartfelt thanks to every visitor who stopped by the OpenELAB booth. Your curiosity and enthusiasm made our first Hack & Make experience unforgettable.
And of course, a big shout‑out to FabLab Nuremberg for hosting such an inspiring event — and for the warm hospitality at the post‑event party filled with creativity and energy.
