How Thermal Imaging Works
All objects naturally emit infrared radiation. The Grove MLX90641 BCB module detects subtle temperature variations in the environment using a sensitive IR sensor. It then converts this infrared data into an electronic thermal image that reflects temperature differences. Hotter objects emit more radiation, allowing this camera to visualize heat patterns invisible to the naked eye, enabling precise and non-invasive monitoring.
Important Note
This module requires an MCU with at least 20,000 bytes of RAM to operate properly. Basic boards like Arduino UNO are not compatible due to limited processing capabilities. We recommend using Arch Mix or similarly powerful MCUs for optimal performance.
