The OPS-1 Light-Controlled Switch supports two trigger modes and two output modes:
1. Trigger Modes (Configured with JMP1 Jumper Caps):
- Bright Trigger Mode (Jumper Cap on 1-3 Position):
The relay is activated when the photoresistor detects light increasing from dark to bright or gradually strengthening. - Dark Trigger Mode (Jumper Cap on 2-4 Position):
The relay is activated when the photoresistor detects light decreasing from bright to dark or gradually weakening.
2. Output Modes (Configured with JMP2 Jumper Cap):
- Relay Passive Output and Transistor-Driven Active Output:
- Jumper Cap on 2-3 Position: Relay is enabled to operate.
- Jumper Cap on 1-2 Position: Relay is disabled, reducing power consumption.
Assembly Instructions
- Solder 3 x 1KΩ resistors.
- Solder 2 x 10KΩ resistors.
- Solder 2 x diodes (ensure correct polarity).
- Solder 1 x electrolytic capacitor and 2 x ceramic capacitors (electrolytic capacitor has polarity).
- Solder 1 x LED and 1 x transistor (both have polarity).
- Solder the photoresistor, IC socket, and potentiometer.
- Solder 2 x terminals and 2 x pin headers (ensure correct orientation of terminals).
- Solder 1 x relay (relay has polarity).
- Install jumper caps and IC (ensure IC is inserted with the correct orientation).
Trigger Modes for OPS-1 Light-Controlled Switch
- Bright Trigger Mode with Relay Enabled:
-
- Set the JMP1 jumper cap to the 1-3 position and the JMP2 to the 2-3 position.
- Dark Trigger Mode with Relay Disabled:
-
- Set the JMP1 jumper cap to the 2-4 position and the JMP2 to the 1-2 position.
