The LIS-2 Infrared Sensor Switch detects the presence of an object by determining whether the emitted infrared signal is reflected back, triggering the relay to switch. The reference sensing distance is approximately 12 cm (the actual distance may vary depending on the material of the reflective object). It can be used in applications such as sensor faucets and automatic hand dryers.

Parameters

  • Kit Name: Infrared Sensor Switch / Infrared Proximity Switch
  • Model: LIS-2
  • Operating Voltage: 12V
  • Static Current: 28mA
  • Pull-In Current: 50mA
  • PCB Dimensions: 63mm x 39mm
  • Relay Contact Capacity: 3A / 250V
  • Delay Time: Adjustable from 0 to 40 seconds (actual delay may vary slightly due to component tolerances).
  • PCB Thickness: 1.2mm high-quality PCB with premium components for enhanced assembly success.

Features

  • Larger Pads with Solder Plating: Makes soldering easier, even for beginners, ensuring an enjoyable assembly experience.
  • Black Tube: Infrared receiver; Transparent Tube: Infrared emitter – ensure correct orientation during installation.

Installation Tips

  1. Pay attention to the polarity when installing diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits.
  2. Ensure correct placement of the infrared emitter (transparent) and infrared receiver (black).
  3. On the first power-up, the relay will activate briefly, which is part of the normal circuit detection process.
