The DFRduino UNO V3.0 from DFRobot is a compact physical computing board ideal for both academic use and development. It is a microcontroller board fully compatible with Arduino UNO R3 and the Arduino IDE open-source development environment, which supports the Processing / Wiring language.

You can use it to build stand-alone interactive objects or connect it to software on your computer (such as Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free and supports Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

Board Features

This board uses the ATmega16U2 as a USB-to-serial converter and retains the DIP package AVR Chip (ATmega328), allowing for easy reprogramming or replacement.

A key feature of this board is the use of color-coded headers for different I/O port types:

  • Red for Power Section

  • Blue for Analog I/O

  • Green for Digital I/O

These colors match DFRobot’s sensor cables, making it easier to identify where to connect sensors and distinguish between Analog and Digital pins.
