Transbot is a crawler-style off-road robot based on ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python, designed for ROS enthusiasts and robotics hobbyists. It features high-performance hardware, including Jetson NANO, LiDAR, and HD/depth cameras, enabling applications such as motion control, remote communication, mapping and navigation, follower and obstacle avoidance, autopilot, and MoveIt-based robotic arm simulation. A wealth of teaching courses, documents, and videos are provided to help you get started with ROS quickly.

Features

  • The chassis is built from green aluminum oxide material and supports mounting a robotic arm, 2-DOF camera pan/tilt, a 7-inch display, and more. Users can debug the car anytime, anywhere.
  • Professional hardware configuration includes SLAM LiDAR, HD and depth cameras, a high-performance gear motor, metal servo, and a Yaboom robot expansion board, among other components.
  • Based on ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python programming. We leverage ROS tools such as RViz, MoveIt, and Qt to realize joint control for the robotic arm Movelt simulation and the real machine.
  • Advanced AI functions cover LiDAR-based obstacle avoidance, fixed-point navigation, bone detection, finger following, camera calibration, and 3D visual mapping/navigation.
  • Cross-platform interconnection and control: a mobile remote control app with integrated AI features; handheld control for FPV-style real-time viewing; JupyterLab online programming and ROS control.
  • Detailed video tutorials and documentation: 64 video courses and comprehensive documents designed for both beginners and experienced ROS users to get up to speed quickly.
