The VOT-8 Voltmeter DIY Kit offers an engaging way to learn about electronics while building a fully functional voltmeter. Ideal for students, hobbyists, and DIY enthusiasts, this kit is perfect for measuring DC voltages in various projects, with two modes for added flexibility.
Parameters
Kit Name: Voltmeter DIY Kit
Model: VOT-8
Operating Voltage: DC 3.5~25V
PCB Dimensions: 33mm x 52mm
Measurement Range: DC 0~30V
Measurement Accuracy: 0.1V
A push-button switch controls the VOT-8 Voltmeter Kit and can operate in either a two-wire or three-wire configuration. (The wiring is configured for two-wire mode upon delivery.)
Assembly Steps
- Solder the 10 resistors (3 on the front, and 7 on the back inside the red frame).
- Solder the capacitors, diodes, and potentiometer.
- Solder the push-button switch (make sure to orient it correctly).
- Install the IC socket from the back of the board and solder it from the front.
- Trim any excess pins from the IC socket to prevent interference with the LED display.
- Install the LED display.
- Install the microcontroller and copper standoffs (pay attention to the microcontroller’s orientation).
This kit offers an excellent opportunity to learn about voltage measurement circuits and build a practical voltmeter.
