Seeed Studio SenseCAP S2105 Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor is a battery-powered IP66 wireless sensor, measuring soil moisture (0 ~ 100% m³/m³), temperature (-40 ~ 80℃), and EC (0 to 23 dS/m). Equipped with built-in Bluetooth and APP service for OTA configuration and remote device management, the S2105 LoRaWAN® Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor is widely used in smart farming, smart yard, and environment monitoring solutions.

The frequency plan setting is none by default and the SenseCAP S2105 Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor will not transmit RF signal until it has been set by App via Bluetooth at the first power-up. And it can be changed to other LoRaWAN® frequency plans at any time.
Hardware Overview
Seeed Studio SenseCAP S2105 LoRaWAN® Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor measures moisture, temperature and EC at the range of 0 ~ 100% (m³/m³), -40 ~ 80℃, and 0 to 23 dS/m respectively. Soil electrical conductivity (EC) is a metric of the salt content in the soil which will affect crop yield and quality, plant nutrient availability, and the activity of soil microbes. S2105 Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor can be widely applicable in soil sensing scenarios. It is specifically optimized for OTA with built-in Bluetooth, which enables quick setup and update. Benefiting from LoRaWAN® and IP66 design, this Seeed Studio SenseCAP S2105 features stability and reliability and can cover a long transmission range while keeping lower power consumption. Unlike wireline devices, it is battery-powered, reducing the workload and complexity of the deployment, and can be disassembled and installed in a few minutes.
It can cover a transmission range of 2km in urban scenes and 10km in line-of-sight scenes while keeping lower power consumption during the transmission process. Together with a replaceable battery that supports up to 10 years of usage and an industrial IP66 enclosure, the SenseCAP S2105 LoRaWAN® Soil Moisture Temperature EC Sensor supports -40 ~ 85℃ operating temperature and can be deployed in harsh environments.
