The Grove - ORP Sensor Kit (HR-O) is designed for measuring the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in liquids, helping assess water cleanliness and its ability to break down contaminants. Featuring a 5-meter IP68-rated ORP probe, a wide sensing range from -2000mV to +2000mV, and ±15mV accuracy, this kit offers plug-and-play compatibility with Arduino and supports both 3.3V and 5V power supplies. Environmentally friendly and RoHS certified, it is ideal for water quality monitoring across various applications.
Key Features
-
Wide ORP Measurement Range: Detects from -2000mV to +2000mV.
-
High Accuracy: ±15mV accuracy in 0–60°C operating range.
-
Robust and Waterproof: Equipped with a 5-meter IP68 ORP probe.
-
Simple Integration: Grove interface, compatible with Arduino.
-
Environmentally Friendly: RoHS certified for safe and eco-conscious projects.
-
Flexible Power Supply: Operates with either 3.3V or 5V.
How It Works
The sensor measures the activity of oxidizers and reducers in a solution. Higher ORP values indicate aerobic conditions, while lower ORP values suggest anaerobic environments. It’s widely used in spas, water treatment, aquaculture, and industrial wastewater management.
Tip: White solid crystals on the probe may appear during shipping due to environmental changes but do not affect sensor performance. Simply wipe them off gently with a wet paper towel.
Applications
-
Water Disinfection Monitoring
-
Aquaculture Water Quality Detection
-
Wastewater Treatment Monitoring
-
Microbial Activity Analysis
-
Industrial Sewage Discharge Control
-
Health and Safety Water Testing
