Seeed Studio LWL02 LoRaWAN Water Leak Sensor EU868MHz is a compact and reliable IoT sensor designed for water leak detection in smart homes, smart buildings, and industrial monitoring. When water is detected between its metal probes, the device immediately reports a water leak event via the LoRaWAN EU868 network, ensuring timely alerts and protection against damage.

The LWL02 sensor is powered by 2 x AAA batteries, supporting long-term use with up to 16,000–70,000 uplink packets, equivalent to 2–10 years of battery life. Batteries can be easily replaced, and after replacement, pressing the RESET button re-activates its low-power management mode.

It transmits data periodically and during each leak event, while also counting leak occurrences and calculating duration. Users can configure the device to disable event-based uplinks, instead sending periodic summaries. Each unit comes preloaded with unique LoRaWAN OTAA keys for secure registration and automatic connection to the network.
