Chain ToF is a 🔗 laser ranging sensor node in the M5Stack Chain series. It integrates a 📡 VL53L0C laser ranging module, supporting a measurement range of 3–200 cm with ±3% accuracy. Ideal for short‑range, non‑contact distance sensing and 🤖 object‑proximity detection.
Powered by an ⚙️ STM32G031G8U6 core MCU, Chain ToF uses a 🔌 UART daisy‑chain communication protocol. With two HY2.0‑4P expansion ports, it can easily connect to more Chain‑series modules to create richer, more interactive applications ✨.

Operating Instructions
🌙 Measurement Environment
Under normal lighting conditions, the maximum measurable distance is 120 cm. To achieve 200 cm, Long Range mode must be enabled, and the measurement must be performed in a dark environment without infrared interference to ensure stability and accuracy.
🔌 Connection Instructions
Use the Chain Bridge connector to link the Chain DualKey main controller with each Chain‑series input device in a daisy‑chain configuration. Pay close attention to the connection direction:
-
The triangular arrow must point from the Chain DualKey main controller toward the external devices.
-
Correct orientation is required for proper data communication.
