The Gravity: Analog Soil Moisture Sensor (SEN0114) provides a simple and cost-effective way to detect soil moisture levels using resistive sensing. With a 0–4.2V analog output, it's ideal for indoor plant monitoring, educational electronics, and smart home IoT projects.

Designed for use with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other 3.3V/5V microcontrollers, this sensor features an easy-to-use Gravity Interface for plug-and-play integration.

How It Works

This soil moisture sensor measures the resistance between two probes inserted into the soil. The more water present, the lower the resistance, and vice versa. This analog signal is then interpreted by the microcontroller to determine soil moisture content.

Note: This sensor is designed for short-term use. For extended or high-humidity environments, consider using the Analog Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor – Corrosion Resistant for better long-term performance.
